We offer sensory-based learning activities and centres, including (but not limited to) play dough\/cloud dough, water play, slime, mixed media art, and science experiments. We combine Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math to create experiences for children that inspire learning, creativity and flexibility with unexpected outcomes.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Hello Friends!<\/span><\/p>\n

My name is Miss Tracy, and I’m the owner and director at Little Sprouts Preschool in Airdrie, Alberta.<\/span><\/p>\n

I would love to invite you to experience a bit of Little Sprouts Preschool in your own home!
\nAs part of the virtual preschool program I created in response to the Covid-19 pandemic, I also developed sensory materials and learning kits.<\/span><\/p>\n

Our learning kits include sensory bin filler, play dough, worksheets, colouring sheets, art materials, and prepared craft materials. Our sensory kits are customizable and designed with popular early learning themes in mind. Learning should be meaningful and children should feel supported in following their interests.<\/span><\/p>\n

We are returning to our in-person ArtLAB Workshops at our school facility, which combine Science, Technology, Engineering, Art & Math to create experience for children that inspire learning, creativity and flexibility with unexpected outcomes! These kits offer an in-home sample of what we provide during our in-person workshops, providing engaging open-ended activities for hours of fun!<\/span><\/p>\n

About Miss Tracy:<\/h2>\n

Tracy Young (Miss Tracy) has been in the field of Early Child Education for over 14 years, completing education at both Mount Royal University and Lethbridge College. She is qualified in understanding child development with training in providing ASQ-3 and ASQ:SE-2.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
Having taught at a variety of preschools and completing her final practicum in a daycare setting before opening her own program, Miss Tracy understands the needs of preschoolers in-depth. Miss Tracy created the “ARTLab” workshop series offered by Little Sprouts Preschool as a way to encourage messy play and sensory experiences in addition to STEAM in a fun and engaging way. <\/span><\/p>\n
She began to create fine-motor kits and then later sensory bins as part of this program for at-home extensions in learning. <\/span><\/p>\n
Miss Tracy brings her love of learning and teaching to Little Sprouts Preschool’s virtual programs, and can’t wait to share the excitement with your child!\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

We understand that parents are juggling a lot right now between working from home and ensuring their child(ren) continue learning and growing in developmentally appropriate ways during this time of uncertainty.
