Hello Friends!<\/span><\/p>\n

My name is Miss Tracy, and I’m the owner and director at Little Sprouts Preschool in Airdrie, Alberta.<\/span><\/p>\n

I would love to invite you to experience a bit of Little Sprouts Preschool in your own home!<\/span><\/p>\n

I created our virtual preschool program out of necessity, after Covid-19 effectively closed our preschool location and left our students and their families with no support in place for learning at home. I started recording our circle time and providing students with valuable one-on-one time and small-group opportunities through video conferencing. I created activity kits to match our themes, and included sensory bin filler, play dough, worksheets, colouring sheets, art materials, and the prepared craft materials to complete a matching activity each day that I demonstrated through our circle time video.<\/span><\/p>\n

I know how important it is for families to feel supported during times of uncertainty, and to provide meaningful learning opportunities for their children regardless of the circumstances.<\/span><\/p>\n

In our program, students learn through songs, games, stories and activities, and our virtual program provided these opportunities for families direct to their homes.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Previous to Covid-19, we also operated Saturday morning ArtLab Workshops at our school facility. These workshops combined Art & Science to create experiences for children that inspired learning, creativity, and flexibility with unexpected outcomes! I have curated a combination of our virtual preschool kit with our ArtLab Workshops to create something really special just for my friends!

About Miss Tracy:<\/h2>\n

Tracy Young (Miss Tracy) has been in the field of Early Child Education for over 13 years, completing education at both Mount Royal University and Lethbridge College. <\/span><\/p>\n
Having taught at a variety of preschools and completing her final practicum in a daycare setting before opening her own program, Miss Tracy understands the needs of preschoolers in-depth. Miss Tracy created the “ARTLab” workshop series offered by Little Sprouts Preschool as a way to encourage messy play and sensory experiences in addition to STEM in a fun and engaging way. <\/span><\/p>\n
She began to create fine-motor kits and then later sensory bins as part of this program for at-home extensions in learning. <\/span><\/p>\n
Miss Tracy brings her love of learning and teaching to Little Sprouts Preschool’s virtual programs, and can’t wait to share the excitement with your child!\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
