Summer Camps

July 13 – 17th

Spend the week learning about agriculture and farming! From equipment to the lifecycle of plants, we will learn what it takes to become amazing farmers. We will explore dirt and sensory play, as well as learn about the different animals and parts of a farm.

July 20 – 24th

During our Little Campers day camp, we will spend our time pretending to be exploring the rugged mountains, hunting for bears, eating s’mores and fishing for our next meal (or just the letters in the alphabet!). We will be exploring art in nature, flexing our creative thinking muscles, as well as our self-help life skills with putting on backpacks, using binoculars, and foraging.

July 27 – 31st

From maracas to tambourines, from rhythm sticks to drums, this week is all about making music! The Little Musicians will spend their days making and using musical instruments, dancing, and experiencing different types of music. We will even have a special musical guest on the final day of camp! The children will learn about beats and melodies, and will engage their fine and gross motor skills through classroom activities!

August 4 – 7th (Short Week)

We will spend the week discussing and learning about healthy eating, and safety in the kitchen. We will practice our culinary skills by learning how to make yogurt parfaits, healthy pancakes, pumpkin pie in a cup, apple sauce, and DIY sandwiches!

August 10 – 14th

During this week, Little Sprouts’ Little Artists will experience a variety of different art mediums, including finger paint, water colours, pastels, clay, and paper mache, to name just a few! The children will play with colour and learn all about different painting and visual art techniques, and will spend the week engaging their fine and gross motor muscles.

August 17 – 21st

Little Sprouts’ Little Scientists will have a *blast* during our week-long science camp. From exploring movement, change of state, and our five senses, your child will practice their fine motor, gross motor, and math skills as we embark on our adventure!

ARTLAB now Registering! Starting January 2020!

Welcome to the ArtLab! At Little Sprouts Preschool, we value the play and learning opportunities brought together when we mix Art + Science! On select Saturday mornings, we offer enrichment opportunities full of exploration and discovery geared toward children 2.5 – 6 years of age.  Our ArtLab program is 2.5 hours long, and is offered outside of our regular preschool programming.

During ArtLab, children build their understanding of the world around them by experimenting according to their interests and are allowed free range of our centres. We set up a variety of areas for children – sometimes themed – to explore and engage with.

Examples of our centres:

                      • Colour Mixing
                      • Potion Making
                      • Sensory Tables
